March 20^th – April 28^th

The Borough of Watchung is participating in a friendly competition with other municipalities in Somerset County to see which municipality can collect the most non-perishable food items by Friday, April 28^th. 

The winner is determined by the “actual weight” of all the food collected and tallied by Foodstock.

Watchung has accepted this challenge!! We ask all residents to share their spirit of giving with all donations going to: The Food Bank Network of Somerset County.

Watchung will up the stakes!! The winner will provide the other municipalities with t-shirts for their Mayor and Council to wear for one Council meeting that will read “Watchung Won the FoodStock Challenge!”

The kickoff period will be March 20^th through April 28^th

We would greatly appreciate non-perishable donations such as: pasta, tomato sauce, peanut butter, rice, beans, soups, canned meals, canned tuna, canned vegetables, mac and cheese, shelf stable milk, juices, boxed meals, pancake mixes and cereals.

Toiletries such as: bar soap, boxy wash, deodorant, diapers, toilet paper, toothpaste, wet wipes,

Drop off Locations:

• Borough Hall, 15 Mountain Blvd, Lower-Level Entrance by Engineering
• Watchung Library, 12 Stirling Road (closed vestibule area)

Drop off locations will have wristlet for donations, please wear to encourage all to participate!!
