Important Tax information

Many residents have been inquiring about their 3^rd quarter tax bill due on August 1^st.  The Tax Collector is waiting for the Somerset Board of Taxation to finalize the Borough of Watchung’s 2026 tax rate.  Once finalized, we will mail out the tax bills.  The grace period for the third quarter will be extended to August 31^st to give residents sufficient time to pay.  

When we have a confirmed rate, the third quarter tax amounts will show on our online payment portal www.watchungnj.gov.  From here, you may view, print or make a tax payment.
